St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral in the center of the British capital on a hilltop Ludgate. This Anglican cathedral built in honor of the Apostle Paul. Today its walls is the residence of the bishop of London. The first temple on the site of the cathedral was built in the year 604. Over its long history it was rebuilt several times, the last fifth embodiment of the cathedral was built in 1675-1708 years by the architect Christopher Wren. Seventeen bells adorn the building, and placed under the dome three galleries: stone, gold and whispering. Surprising acoustic properties of whispering gallery: said in a whisper at one end of the gallery can be clearly heard on the other end of the gallery. Visit the cathedral and see for yourself!

In addition, the cathedral is the burial place of many famous British. Here lie the Duke of Wellington, Admiral Horatio Nelson, the architect of the Cathedral of Christopher Wren, as well as many others.
