Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is located near the center of London and is the meeting point of three major streets of Westminster: The Strand, Whitehall and The Mall.

Initially, the area was named in honor of King William IV. Later in 1805 it was renamed and received its new name in honor of the world-famous Battle of Trafalgar, which for many years ahead established a leading position on the UK marine waters, and, as we know, has played a crucial role in the development of various historical events.

About six centuries ago on the square was the royal aviary, and later - the stables. Today the area is one of the most beautiful places in England. Tourists from all over the world come here to experience its flavor and see many interesting historical attractions, including the National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, the Church of St. Martin, the National Portrait Gallery.

Trafalgar Square organized various public holidays and during the Christmas holidays sets up the main tree UK.
