Doune Castle
Doon Castle is located in Stirling, Scotland. It was built in the 14th century on the orders of Robert Stewart Duke of Albany I. Since 1425 this building was used as a royal hunting residence. After 1745 the castle walls functioned prison. During its long history has survived many building repairs and several large-scale restorations. Today the castle Tung is under state protection and is a popular tourist attraction.
