St Dunstan in the East Church
Dunstan East Church was built around 1100. During the Great Fire of London in 1666, it was destroyed. After some time it was restored. More than a hundred years Dunstan East served as the Anglican Church Receipt. However, in 1941, was destroyed by German bombs. During World War II across Europe was destroyed many historic buildings, but not all of them have been restored. Dunstan Church East is a prime example of a historic building destroyed.
After the church was destroyed, the London Corporation decided not to rebuild it, and turn into a city park. And on the ruins of the Church of trees were planted, and at the new park installed a fountain.
