Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, located in the heart of downtown Birmingham, visitors are European and world culture and history of the previous seven centuries.

The museum was opened in 1885, today it exhibits housed in more than 40 galleries. In the unique collections of international importance are presented collections of paintings, jewelry and metalwork, ceramics, ancient Roman and Greek artifacts, ethnographic and industrial assembly. Worthy of much attention jewelry collection Staffordshire hoard - the largest to date, gold treasure of Anglo-Saxon period.

Visiting hours: daily from 10 am to 17 pm on Fridays - 10:30, Sunday - 12:30 to 17 hours.
