Royal Observatory
Greenwich Royal Observatory is located in the small village of Greenwich. From the hill on which the observatory building, perfectly looked all London. That is the line in Greenwich zero meridian, which is counting on the lap time.
The observatory was founded in 1675 at the behest of King Charles II.
In old buildings Observatory Museum opened navigational and astronomical instruments. Exhibits in this museum tell what changes have occurred in the life of mankind after the adoption of a uniform system for calculating the coordinates and time.
